LARA warns of fraudulent cease & desist letters to medical marijuana facilities

MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs & the Bureau of Medical Marijuana Regulation are caution the public of fake cease & desist letters being delivered in the final various days. LARA says the BMMR Enforcement Divisions & the Michigan State Police are currently conducting a joint investigation into an individual or individuals who have issued the letters at marijuana facility locations, which are currently operating temporarily by native approval, throughout the state. BMMR has issued over 200 cease & desist letters over the past 30 days however says nothing have been delivered since April 18. If a business owner, employee or applicant has received a cease & desist letter since Thursday, April 19, they are asked to call the bureau at (517) 284-8599.collected by :Lucy William
