Milwaukee officials confirm banning gay conversion medication

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee officials sent the mayor a suggestion to prohibit therapists & counselors from trying to change a minor's sexistorientation. 2 of the 15 council members voted no. 9 state & various cities have bans on conversion medication however there is no statewide prohibition in Wisconsin. Alderman Cavalier Johnson tells conversion medication is psychologically harmful & there's no guide it works. Opponents are concerned the ban going to infringe on religious-based counseling, however the prohibition applies just to practitioners who charge money.

Maryland Senate advances ban on conversion medication for LGBT guys

After a lengthy debate across a partisan divide, the Maryland Senate features a bill on Tuesday which would make it illegal for licensed mental health professionals to offer medication to minors which is intended to change one's sexistorientation or gender identity. Sen. Bryan W. The American Psychological Association put together a task force that found conversion medication to be an improper response to homosexual & transgender Kids. 1 of those amendments would have prohibited conversion medication that abused Kids under the state's abuse laws.
