Paul LePage's veto of a Fresh law, LD 1030, that requires health insurance companies to pay for services provided with naturopathic doctors. It prohibits insurers from charging higher out-of-sine spending, like co-pays or deductibles, for naturopathic care. Naturopathic doctors have to attend 4 years at an accredited college of naturopathy & pass a standardized national licensing exam before they could practice. "I'm tickled pink," said naturopathic doctor Elizabeth Yori, who practices in Belfast & is the president of the Maine Association of Naturopathic Doctors. while Anthem discontinued its involvement in the individual health insurance market final year, Yori said, many Anthem clients had trouble finding coverage that involved the naturopathic services they preferred.collected by :Lucy William
