Bonita Springs puts off medical marijuana decision

LEE province, Fla.-- People living in Bonita Springs are putting pressure on city council to officially lift a ban, that is saving medical marijuana dispensaries through the city. Mayor Peter Simmons lifted eyebrows on Monday during the city council meeting, with calling dispensaries headshops. The CEO of medical marijuana certifications centers in Florida said this appeal is a mockery since a headshop is entirely different from a clinic, & it will not dispense marijuana. The mayor referred to medical marijuana as candy, "We could get lollipops, we could get the chocolate brownies, whatever they are, whatever form they come in, we could figure it out." Council members saw they necessity further time to do study on medical marijuana dispensaries because for the past year, they were waiting for the state legislature to decide what to do.
