Peru pardons jailed ex-leader Fujimori on medical grounds

Kenji tweeted Sunday, "On behalf of the Fujimori family, I want to thank President Kuczynski for his magnanimous gesture." however the decision is set to enrage families of preys of human rights abuse during Fujimori's rule & international human rights organizations. Fujimori, who was born in Peru to Japanese immigrants, was rivalled president in 1990. After traveling to Chile in 2005, he was extradited to Peru 2 years later & convicted of participation in human rights atrocities which claimed the lives of civilians.

Peru's president grants medical pardon for jailed ex-leader Fujimori

Peru's president reported Sunday night which he granted a medical pardon to jailed previous strongman Alberto Fujimori, who was serving a 25-year sentence for human rights abuses, corruption & the sanctioning of death squads. His daughter, Keiko Fujimori, narrowly Stray Peru's final presidential election to Kuczynski, & her party dominates US Congress. Critics of Fujimori once more lifted guess which Kuczynski agreed to pardon the previous leader in return for some opposition lawmakers not supporting his impeachment. Fujimori filed a request seeking a medical pardon further than a year ago, citing deteriorating health. Peruvian law provides which no man convicted of murder or kidnapping could receive a presidential pardon except in the case of a terminal disease.
