Americans' Health Insurance Options Are Disappearing At a Startling Rate

Under Obamacare, Americans' health insurance options are disappearing at a startling rate. The map shows that plan options will continue to decline and, in some areas, Americans will be left with no health insurance options on Obamacare exchanges. Illustrating just how dire the situation really is, the Administration recently released a county-level projection of health insurance exchange participation for 2018. In more than 1,200 counties - nearly 40% of counties nationwide - Americans could be left with only one option and no choice of health insurance provider under Obamacare. It's clear that Obamacare is an inefficient and unsustainable way to provide health insurance to the American people.


The premium is the fixed monthly cost you pay for a health insurance policy. Buying the right insurance policy helps make that possible, but digging through the details of every policy available in order to find the best possible deal is a daunting task. For example, an insurance policy may have a $1,000 deductible but offer a free annual exam. Don't assume you can avoid out-of-network care, no matter how careful you plan to be. However, once you've reached your out-of-pocket maximum, you don't have to pay anything more for any covered services.
