Prosecutors said she billed insurance companies for ultrasounds performed on patients referred to her by Gordin Medical. Authorities said Michelle Kobran, 69, the owner of Ultrasound Mobile Service, Ltd., in Vernon Hills, pleaded guilty last year to health care fraud. Kobran kicked back some of the payments to Gordin, according to prosecutors, and Chang sentenced Kobran, of Vernon Hills, to nine months in prison. Tuesday, two others involved in the scheme, both of whom had also earlier pleaded guilty, also were sentenced, authorities said.
