Progressives say they want to be sure people with pre-existing conditions still have access to health insurance and that parents can continue to carry children up to age 26 on their insurance plans, Meadows said, and, "Anything that we pass ... will certainly address those." The event is targeted at 11th District U.S. Rep. Mark Meadows, R-Buncombe, who is invited but said Thursday he will not attend.
