Residents of Curry and Del Norte counties were stunned to learn Friday about a Cal-Ore Life Flight medical transport plane that left Crescent City earlier that morning and crashed near Eureka, California.Officials confirmed Friday afternoon that the pilot, two crew members and a patient onboard the turboprop Piper Cheyenne aircraft died in the accident.Their identities were not released as of press time Friday night, pending notification of next of kin.
