VA Medical Center employees rally, urging filling of vacant positions
Union members & veterans chanted at drivers & anyone who'd listen near the main entrance of Hampton VA Medical Center on Mallory Street Friday. In January, a federal hiring freeze was enacted When the number of vacancies in VA hospitals around the country has topped further than 45,000. As she talked about the vacancies, a Person driving a motor car by veteran's plates honked & waved in backing at the group of about 40 veterans & federal employees. "Veterans around the country are being forced to wait longer for care," AFGE President J. David Cox Sr. says in a break news release. Johnson said changes in healthcare administration, have lead to a gap in funding for Copper Basin, & less of a necessity for it too.
