Berkshire Health Systems spokesman Michael Leary said it is "too soon to tell" what comes next. A private, nonprofit, Berkshire Health Systems' affiliates include Berkshire Medical Center, the BMC Hillcrest Campus, Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, the North Adams Campus of BMC, Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association, BHS physician practices, and long-term care associate Berkshire Healthcare Systems. Wednesday's vote came after eight months of contract negotiations between the nurses union and hospital administration.
