The US FDA has approved a quadrivalent formulation of Protein Sciences' vaccine, Flublok, produced without eggs or the influenza virus.According to the vaccine maker, Flublok Quadrivalent is the first high antigen content quadrivalent flu to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)."The US has been trending toward the use of quadrivalent flu vaccines in recent years," said Manon Cox, CEO of Protein Sciences Corporation.
