Indiana state representative files bill to legalize medical marijuana

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — State Representative Jim Lucas is filing home Bill 1106, that aims to legalize medical marijuana in Indiana. The 28-page bill would allow for the cultivation, dispensing & Utilize of medical marijuana for anyone by a serious medical condition. The cultivation & distribution would be overseen by the Indiana State Health Department. The bill prohibits discrimination against medical marijuana users & "prohibits harassment of medical marijuana users by law enforcement officers." Additionally, it would prohibit the state from assisting federal enforcement officials in any method ought they hope to crack down on users.
