Premium cap to be lifted for national health insurance
The health ministry plans to lift the cap placed on the amount of premiums paid annually with members of the national health insurance programme with ¥40,000 to ¥770,000 in fiscal 2018, that starts following April. because of hight medicinal costs, municipalities have been raising the premiums gathered from members of the national health insurance programme, including self-employed people, every year. When each municipality decides the amount of premiums for inhabitants under the national health insurance programme, the state Determines the uniform upper limit on annual premiums. It going to consider raising the cap in fiscal 2019 & beyond in view of the national health insurance programme's shaky fiscal condition. meantime, the ministry plans to save the cap on annual nursing care insurance premiums paid with national health insurance members aged among 40 & 64 unchanged at ¥160,000 in fiscal 2018.As it stated in
