Congress missed a deadline to reauthorize the Children's Health Insurance programme (CHIP) over the weekend, leaving federal funding to expire at the finish of the month, according to ABC News. Neither the home nor the Senate took up a vote to reauthorize the program, that helps states provide cheap health insurance to Kids in lower-income families. Congress was on track to miss the deadline earlier this week, & though the Senate launched a bipartisan, five-year bill to reauthorize the program, a vote wasn't scheduled. As it stated in (WASHINGTON) — Amid intense debates about the Graham-Cassidy health care bill, the Senate & home missed the deadline to reauthorize the Children's Health Insurance programme (CHIP) — meaning federal funding for the programme expired at the finish of September.
