Oklahoma infirmary welcomes full-time medication dog

The Children's infirmary VOLUNTEERS charity has brought on a golden retriever as a full-time caregiver & companion for patients & families at The Children's infirmary at OU medicinal Center. Targa, an 18-month-old female golden retriever, is Oklahoma's premier dedicated infirmary medication dog. Sara Jacobson, executive director of The Children's infirmary VOLUNTEERS, has witnessed the power of pet medication & knew which the infirmary would benefit from a full-time medication dog. "Our current volunteer pet medication programme is amazing," said Jacobson. Expanding to add a first-ever infirmary facility medication dog was a dream."BALTO ended up raising further than $271,000 to help fund the Paws for Purpose program.
