Golden Snubs Health Care Rally Outside His Office quoting : bklyner

The rally in outside State Senator Marty Golden's Bay Ridge office yesterday afternoon gathered about 150 people at its peak. An elderly Bay Ridge neighbor was shaking her head saying "This will never work. It is currently at the Health Committee which Golden is a member of – they are hoping he will be their Healthcare Hero. The 68th precinct had thoughtfully cordoned off the parking lane across the street from Senator's Office, the sunny side. Petitions were delivered soon after the rally started, as Golden's staff were in a hurry to close the doors early, and be gone by 5pm.




The 23 million guess should be treated with extra skepticism because it is a prediction on top of a prediction. This flawed coverage prediction is just one of numerous instances where the CBO's Obamacare aim has been about as accurate as a drunk at a dartboard. Along with other market-based reform proposals, the AHCA addresses inflated healthcare costs, which most Americans say is the most urgent health problem. Backers of healthcare reform must make the speculative nature of this prediction common knowledge if they want to maintain support for their proposal. The apocalyptic media coverage of the Obamacare sheep bleating this apocryphal prediction could sink it if they don't.

Why Health Care Won't Be a Free Market

If your doctor has not seen many patients covered by your own insurance company, that company won't be able to tell you much. So let's say that both you and your neighbor, who have the same insurance company, need a bypass. It's not the insurance company that wants to keep your premiums down. While that 145 percent of cost figure is buried in your hospital cost, these other things are buried in your insurance costs. This is abetted by the politicians, few of whom even know how health care works since modern politicians seem to take pride in being as ignorant as their constituents.
