"Katie Walsh was instrumental in the victory in November," Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law and a senior White House adviser, said in a statement. "Katie's a vital link that pulls things together and makes things happen," Stephen K. Bannon, the chief White House strategist, said in a statement. Walsh said in a statement: "It has been the honor of a lifetime to work for President Trump in the transition and in the White House. Katie Walsh appears at a post-election news briefing in November 2016 to discuss the Republican National Committee's role in the election.
