"It's an open wound within our conference right now," Congressman Chris Collins (R-NY) told reporters after the weekly House Republican conference. The failed original plan for replacing Obamacare was slated to occur during the seventh anniversary of the health care law's signing. "It was our intention to be moving forward the rest of this week on phase three of health care which now doesn't exist. A close Congressional ally of President Donald Trump described on Tuesday the dark mood enveloping the House Republican caucus in the wake of their failed push to replace the Affordable Care Act. The leader of the House Freedom Caucus which helped bring down the Ryan health care legislation reiterated his desire to continue working on health care even as other items like tax reform become the priority.
White House, congressional GOP pretending that they're still negotiating on health care « Hot Air
Here's Ryan at today's presser showing off his newfangled interest in getting health care right, not necessarily fast. White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Tuesday acknowledged talks but no imminent plans for reviving the bill. This health-care blather coming from the House is just theater for Republicans who are pissed that they'd throw in the towel on health care so quickly. McConnell was getting ready to try to put the bill on the floor of the Senate immediately if it passed the House. This party will not rest, it will spare no effort, to convince you that it cares, kinda sorta, about health-care reform.collected by :Lucy William
