Trump to meet with top health insurance execs Monday stat : The Hill

President Trump is meeting with top health insurance executives Monday as Republicans prepare to try to replace ObamaCare. Trump has vowed to promptly repeal and replace former President Obama's signature healthcare reform, and insurance companies have also advocated for changes to the law. The insurance executives' meeting with the president was first reported by Bloomberg. The president also proposed tighter rules for ObamaCare last week. Trump said last week that he would soon reveal a replacement plan for Obamacare, saying that it would offer "much better healthcare at a much lower cost," though he did not go into details.

(Photo: ADAM BERRY / Getty Images)The state Department of Insurance has been getting calls from consumers concerned about the contract dispute between Bon Secours St. Francis Health System and UnitedHealthcare. Patients have questions after Bon Secours St. Francis Health System severed its physician contract with UnitedHealthcare. Consumers who have complaints or questions about plans that are not Medicare Advantage plans can contact the DOI's Office of Consumer Services weekdays at 1-800-768-3467 or at consumers@doi.sc.gov. Those with Medicare Advantage plans should go to https://www.medicare.gov/forms-help-and-resources/contact/contact-medicare.html or call 1-800-MEDICARE. While patients still have insurance, Bon Secours doctors are no longer in-network providers, so they cost more to see.
