CEDAR RAPIDS — Iowa's just licensed medical marijuana industrialist wants to open a clinic here & "would act as a partner by the city of Cedar Rapids in achieving our goal of becoming a city that supports residents' health needs When providing economic development," according to a letter earlier this 7 days from Mayor Brad Hart. MedPharm was 1 of 7 entities that filed applications by the deadline Thursday to operate medical marijuana dispensaries. Hart called MedPharm "uniquely qualified for the clinic license in Cedar Rapids" & would collaborate to achieve the city's vision. Dale Todd, a Cedar Rapids City Council member who advocated for medical marijuana legislation as past legislative seat of the Iowa Epilepsy base, says he'd welcome a clinic. There still are questions about the method much request there going to be for Iowa's medical marijuana products, that are limited to three percent tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, content.
